Show Continuing Ed. Registration Involves Opportunities in Many College Areas Registration for Moab's continuing education center will began this week. Wednesday, registration ran from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the High School Library and will continue Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the center's office at 58 North, 1st East. Final official registration regis-tration will be from 7 to 9 p.m. in the High School Library. Li-brary. Classes will begin Tuesday, September 23. There will be a $6 registration regis-tration fee and a $3 student fee. The actual classes at the center will cost $8 per credit hour with a maximum of $112 for people taking 12 hours or more. Proposed classes for the fall quarter will be: an Introduction In-troduction to Business which will be an investigation of the role of business in contemporary con-temporary society and will include an introduction to the general problems of business bus-iness operation. The class will be taught by Mr. Tom Arnold, Director of Moab's Center. Mr. Arnold will also al-so teach a class about Managing Man-aging Small Businesses which will deal with the ap plication or management principles and techniques to independent, owner - management manage-ment type of firm. His final ciass will be General Economics for any university student regardless of major. The required class of Freshman English will also be taught and a class in the Organization and Administration Adminis-tration of Education to study stu-dy the work of the school administrator ad-ministrator and the principles princi-ples upon which the profession profes-sion of school administration is practiced will be of interest in-terest to local school officials. offic-ials. An Introduction to Literature Liter-ature class will introduce the student to an understanding under-standing of the methods of the literary artist and the meaning of his work through the study of poetry, prose, and drama. Three Geology courses are being offered with an Introductory In-troductory class for non-science non-science majors and a Phys ical Geology class for majors in the Sciences. Economic Geology will teach theories of mineral deposition and genetic classification of mineral min-eral deposits. Geomorphology will present pre-sent the quantitative and experimental ex-perimental approach to the study of land forms and associated as-sociated sedimentary deposits. depos-its. Two mathematics classes will add to the list of classes class-es with College Algebra taught in one and Plane Trigonometry in the other. Office routines will be studied with special emphasis emphas-is on the use of reference books, transportation and ravel, use of the telephone and telegraph and cablegram cable-gram services, financial record, re-cord, writing for publication, publica-tion, minutes and meetings. This class in Secretarial Pro- cedures will be for three credits. Fhysical Education classes will be taught in the following follow-ing areas: Basic Physical Education for men or women. Bowling for men and women, wo-men, Basketball for men, Volleyball for men and women, wo-men, Jogging for men and women, Archery, Body Con ditioning for women, Beginning Begin-ning Badminton and Beginning Begin-ning Tennis. Classes will be taught by Mr. Donald Cruce, who is here conducting a study of the school system, from Utah State. ' j A Current Political Problem Prob-lem class will be taught for those of Junior class standing stand-ing and an Educational psychology psy-chology class will explore the principals of learning in teaching and of the abilities and other relevant characteristics charact-eristics of children and adoles cents on the basis of which elementary and secondary teachers can evaluate and or develop conditions of effective ef-fective learning. The Principles of Secondary Secon-dary Education will be the last class offered this quarter quar-ter and will study the background back-ground and status of tha American Secondary school.
