The Municipal Water Loan Fund Act, which has provided $1,441,000 in interest-free loans for water systems for the cities of Huntington, Castle Dale, Orangeville, Emery, Monticello, and Price River Water Improvement District. 3. The State Bonding Bill, which provided $2,1 000,000 for the new Career Center at the College of Eastern Utah. 4. The Utah Shoplifting Bill. 5 . The Constitutional Amendment which makes possible the formation of Special Service Districts in energy impacted areas of Utah. Legislative activities for District 70 since last general session: 1. Personally accelerated construction of the Orangeville bridge by at least a year. 2. Arrange emergency funding for Emery City to provide a city water pump test. 3. Cut federal red tape and aquired a supply of high octane gasoline for Huntington City Airport when they were unable to refuel planes 4. Arranged a cooprtative effort between Federal, State, County and Private' interests in securing fences on both sides of Highway 1 23 West of East Carbon. 5. Arrange for Utah National Guard operation to re-open and make passable the Link Canyon Road near Emery. 6. Coordinate an effort between the State Land Board & the Divot Oil Gas and Mining to provide for a more equilable bonding system for small mining operators. 7. Assist Hunting City, Swisher Coal Co. and Divot Oil Gas and Mining in consumating a satisfactory agreement on potentual water problems. 8. Secure through ourCongressmen and the Federal Research Comm., the continued operation of Green River Missile Base when it was scheduled for closure, and I am presently working to expand bombing test missions.
