Show AN ORDINANCE. An ordinance repealing Section 355 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Laka Cltv of 1903, and the amendment thereto, passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah. January 22.J9n. and approved ap-proved by the Mayor January 24, 190, and enacting a new ordinance to be known as Section 155 of satd Revised Ordinances. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City. Utah: Section 1. That Section 355 of the Revised Re-vised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1903, and tho amendment thereto, passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City. Utah. January 22, 190S, and approved by the Mayor, January 24, 1906, be, and the . same hereby Is repealed. Section 2. That an ordinance Is hereby here-by enacted to be known as Section 355 of the Ordinances' of Salt Lake City, to read as follows: Section 355. The Land and Water Commissioner shall have power, subject to the approval of the City Council, to appoint the following named deputies and assistants: One office deputy at a salary of $900.00 per annum. One patrolman, with horse, for City Creek Canyon, at a salary of 82.75 per day, whose duty it shall be to keep the Canyon clear of all rubbish and refuse, and to patrol the same each day to the Divide, from the first day of March to the first day of December of each year. - One patrolman, with horse, for Pax-ley's Pax-ley's Canyon, at a salary of $900.00 per annum, whose duty It shall be to keep the Canyon and creek free of all rubbish and debris, and whose duty it shall be to live at the station In Parley's Canyon from the first day of March until the first day of December of each year. One patrolman, with horse, for Big Cottonwood Canyon, at a salary of $900.00 " per annum, whose duty it shall be to keep ' the Canyon and creek clear of all rubbish rub-bish and refuse, and to patrol, the same dally, from the Intake of the Big Cottonwood Cot-tonwood Conduit ten miles above said intake. One ranchman, with horse, to live in the Canyon and look after the ranches . and buildings In Parley's Canyon and Mountain Moun-tain Dell, and to keep the creek open during the winter In the upper part of the Canyon, at a salary of $900.00 per an num. One foreman, and two men with horses, for Jordan and Salt Lake Canal, at a salary of $2.75 per day each. ' Any additional labor that emergencies may require. Such salaries shall be paid as are the ) salaries of other city employees. Section 3. This .ordinance shall take effect upon approval. Passed by the City Coifirll of Salt Lake City.
