Show U.S., FOREIGN BONDS MAKE GOOD GAINS NEW YORK, Dec. 18 X1 V. S. governments and foreign dollar loans gave the bond market a little spirit today by pushing out of a generally narrow price range for good gains. Near the final hour treasury issues were steady at advances ranging to f4 point. Dealers reported re-ported offerings were small. The rebound in key foreign loans was attributed to trading support' on the theory a good rally might be due after the recent sweeping declines. Ahead as much as 4 points were New South Wales 5s of 57, Norway 6s of 43. and 4Ss of 56, Denmark 4V4s. Australia 5s of 51 and 55. and Milan 8 '41. Corporate bonds were trendless. Losses ran to a point or so in American Water Works 6s, Delaware Dela-ware A Hudson refunding 4s and Detroit Edison i Hs. Slightly higher were Baltimore A Ohio 4Ss, Santa Fe 4s of 95 and New York Central Cen-tral 5s. |
