GOVERNMENT JOB SEEKERS FLOCK TO FEDERAL BUILDIIiG Monday was Job-seeking day at tht federal building, with 900 applicants who wished to become census taken and 80 who sought holiday positions with the postal service. ' 1 Of the 500 seeking census-taking 1 Jobs, IT will be employed, according accord-ing to W. frank Liston, director tor the SaM Lake district. Each applicant was given blank to fill out; the successful ones win be notified Wednesday. Then, Thurs-day,- Friday- and gaturdayr they will be schooled Is the work they are to do and on January 1 will begin a business and manufacturing manufactur-ing census. Ten of the 1? will work In Salt Lake City; two more in Salt Lake county; three in Utah county and one each In Daris and Tooele coon- ties. The population census starts April 1 and will employ 150 is the Salt Lake district There are three other districts In the state. Postmaster L A. Smoot has been adding new help as needed, during dur-ing the Christmas rush of business.
