Show AMEXEADERSU MARK RESERVE Special to The Telegram OGDEN, Dec. 18 With scores of civic leaders, sportsmen and governmental r e p r e sentatives present, Newell B. Cook, state fish and game commissioner, Sunday released the headgatea flooding thousands of acres of marsh lands with fresh water to mark the completion of the Ogden bay wild life project. Commissioner Cook acted In place of Governor Henry H. Blood, who sent word that he was unable to attend the cerer monies. As an added feature to tha dedication, a transfer of a clear title to approximately 400 acres of land was given by the Weber Wild Life federation to the state of Utah. Ward Armstrong, retiring re-tiring president of the Weber group, made the presentation, which was accepted by Cook. Luther M. Windsor, engineer for the federal biological survey, sur-vey, explained the purpose of the project was to assist In the propagation of water fowl and prevent the birds from contracting con-tracting botulism, from stale water. |
