Show r ; ; Barren Prison Site Studied For Beautification Project Creation of a beauty spot at the now barren and windswept point-of-the-mountain site for the new state prison has been proposed and a study of the project will be stsrted soon, according to Sumner G. Margetts, secretary of the state olanninc board. Ray Walker, soil conservationist for the U. S. soil conservation service, ser-vice, will send experts to the site to study plans for planting of trees, grass, shrubs and windbreaks, Mr. Margetts said. They will prepare an estimate' of costs and make a report on what can be done. The report will be submitted for the approval of the governor's advisory F commission on prison removal. I |
