Show Black Supports Liberals Anew WASHINGTON. Nov. 15 (UPJ. Associate Justice Hugo L. Black today to-day aligned himself again with the supreme court's liberal minority in a 6 to 3 decision involving technical techni-cal interpretation of federal bankruptcy bank-ruptcy law. At the same time the court dismissed dis-missed the two newest challenges to Black's ineligibility. One waa the petition of a group of Florida brokers for a rehearing of the court's earlier refusal to review validity of the 1933 securities act They sought the rehearing on the grounds that Black's presence made all court actions invalid. The other challenge was filed by Elisabeth L. Seymour of Salamanca, N. Y, and Robert Gray. Taylor, Media, Pa-, who said he was chairman chair-man of the Philadelphia court plan committee. The decision resulted In a victory for the Chicago Title and Trust company in its fight against a financial finan-cial reorganization plan for the Forty-one Thirty-six Wilcox Building Build-ing corporation, Chicago. The high tribunal's majority reversed re-versed a Seventh circuit court of appeals ruling approving the reorganization reor-ganization plan for the company, owner and operator of a building at 4134 Wilcox avenue, Chicago. Black joined Justices Benjamin N. Cardoso and Harlan F. Stone in the dissent, written by Cardozo. |
