HOOVER SIGHS INTERIOR. BILL Meaur Carrie 43,ooo,000. Including $8,000,000 for Dam Work IB, tmlaM hnil WASHINGTON, Feb. II President Hoover today signed the $43,000,000 interior department appropriation bill the second of th big supply measures meas-ures to be enscted with the close of tbe session rapidly neraing. Th first deficiency bill hss also been signed by the chief executive. The interior bill ia broken down into scores of comparatively smsll items for specific projects and purposes. Among them was one of 195,300 "for the suppression of the traffic in Intoxicating liquors and deleterious drugs, include peyote, among Indians." Msny of the lsrger items were allotted al-lotted to the bureau of reclamation. Some of them are: Three hundred and five thousand dollsrs for the Rio Grande project in New Mexico and Texas, together with the unexpended balance of the appropriation ap-propriation for construction during 1933; ll.577.0O0 for the Owyhee project proj-ect Oregon: $820,000 for the Yakima project In Washington: . 000,000 for construction at Hoover dam and work on tha Colorado river at Black canyon.
