While thousands of Salt Lakers and Utahns eagerly awaited patronizing two dancing parties Friday night honoring President Roosevelt, five Salt Lake City children knew they had something in common with the nation's chief executive their birthdays coin- ' tide on Saturday. The two charity dances here will be held at tha Coconut Grove and Rainbow ballrooms. About 40 similar simi-lar affairs will be conducted throughout the state, some on Saturday Sat-urday night, expected to attract approximately ap-proximately 85,000 persons. Each of the children will observe, its second birthday, while President Roosevelt enters upon his fifty-fifth milestone. Parents of the January SO youngsters young-sters hava promised to bake email cakes, on which two candles will grace, in honor of the occasion. Local dances will get under way at 9 p. m according to Thomas R. Fsd-dis, Fsd-dis, chairman of ths birthday ball for Utah. Admission Is 35 cents per person. "Jumbo" telegrams, supplied sup-plied by the Western Union and Postal Telegraph, will enable persons per-sons to forward telegraphic congratulations congrat-ulations to President Roosevelt on the eve of his birthday for 35 cents. Ths wire companies will donate 70 per cent of the proceeds to the local committee to help Infantile paralysis victims, and ths remaining 30 per cent will be donated to the national committee.
