Show ' JORDAN PLANS MEWBUILDING BANDT Preliminary plans for the erection of a new vocational arts building at Jordan high school were discussed Thursday afternoon by the Jordan. schooL district boardLot , education. Dr. Paul Richards, president, presi-dent, was in charge. The project, as proposed by Dr. C. N. Jensen, would be accomplished with W P A crews. The building t would be of concrete, replacing the present wooden structure now being be-ing used as a carpenter's shop. "The school has been long in need f additional space for vocational education, including carpentry, auto mechanics, electricity and others," Dr. Jensen said. "Whether or not the district will be in a position to carry on its plans to construct such a building depends upon what cooperation coop-eration we might obtain from the W P A. A petition for funds la being formed in order thst the work might get under way as soon as possible." Cost of the project will be determined deter-mined as final plans are made. Dr. Jensen said. Part of the expenses would be paid by the district, while t the labor costs would be paid by the government, provided a W P A project is obtained. |
