Show Just Folks By Edgar A. Guest rROlT AND HAPPY He hasn't don so very well himself. him-self. He's worn that suit of his for quite awhile. When it was new he picked it from the shelf. He never could afford to dress in style. And yet ther is a twinkle in his eye. You never hear him grumbling life's all wrong; You never hear him uttering a sigh. He has a boy who's stepping right along. , He's always had to work from day to day. e's always had to scrimp and savs and plan, , And yet you hear him whistling on his way. That boy of his has grown into a man! You see ths two together now snd then And slways there's that twinkle in his eye. That look of pride and peace that many men Would gladly give their fortunes now to buy. Hs never hears th phone ring, half afraid Of trouble or disaster or disgrace. dis-grace. That boy of his I'll swear has never nev-er mad On needless lin of worry on . his face; And always when you see htm in a crowd Hs seems to be th gayest of th gay.
