Show False Police Alarm. In answer to a call for help made at police headquarters last night, a number num-ber of Chief Paul's men hurried to Cos-griff Cos-griff & Enright's place on West Second South street to capture, as they supposed, and as the night watchman supposed, a band of safe-blowers. The cause of the alarm was a defective' Incandescent light that weirld remain lighted for a minute or so and then go out for a little while. The night watchman had watched It until he was satisfied it was a dark lantern In the hands of some robber, and then turned In the alarm for assistance. L |
