The eleventh quadrangle college chess , tornament between Columbia, Harvard, Yale and, Princeton, came, to an .end last night. Columbia, with half a point In the lead, broke even In her games with Yale in the tinal round, and thereby won the tournament, the representatives repre-sentatives o fthe blue remaining one point behind. The achievement was entirely due to Oeorge W. Tucker, Jr., who. In a splendid splen-did game, downed his adversary, E. Hull On. the other hand, Barshall was defeated by N. Hull. The gaaSea between Sawin and Sewell, and Kwltr and Adams were drawn. Harvard tallied thrice against Princeton. Rice and Clark easily disposed of their opponents, Richardson end Bis-sell, Bis-sell, while the other two games were drawn. Harvard was awarded a win for the Rlce-Sewell game, left for' adjudication adjudica-tion on Tuesday. |
