Columbia; Co-lumbia; first vice-president. Dr. Deaver, Yale; second vice-president. Dr. Lam-berth. Lam-berth. University of Virginia; secretary and .treasurer. Dr. James A. Abbott, Haverford; members of the council. Dr. R. T. MeKenzle, Gill univejlty, Montreal, Mon-treal, and Dr. P. S. Phillips, Amherst; executive .committee. Dr. J. E. Kay-croft, Kay-croft, Chicago university, Dr. J. A. Sargent, Sar-gent, Harvard, and. Dr. W. G. Ander- son, ,Yale. . The pommittee will outline the scientific scien-tific work for the coming year. After the business meeting Dr. Stroud of Tufts college read a paper on the evils of college athletics. Touching on sensationalism, sen-sationalism, he said that the athlete Is better known than the presid.-nt, and called attention to the excessive time and great financial expenditure to support sup-port this. Dr. Anderson of Yale discussed the scientific work during the year, of which, he said, only a moderate amount had been done In Yale. Amherst, University Uni-versity of Missouri and the Leland Stanford universities. |
