'Billings, the Chicago horseman, at the banquet to be given by him tonight will not be required to sit at tables upon the backs of prancing thoroughbreds, as . the pony -dinner Is to be given with wooden steeds as seats for the dlnera . Mr. Billings's guests will meet at the Hotel Netherlands and from there be conveyed to his new stable, where will be found thlrty-slx . handsome wooden horses, each with a golden bridle, & handsomely deco- rated saddle and a saddle cloth of white satin. These'wm be arranged to move easily upon wheels, and a liveried attendant at the head of each ' horse will furnish the motive power. As soon as his guests are mounted . - they will advance to the main hall of the stable In couples.'
