The owners of the Savanic property have given out the report that they will open the mine in a few days, and that the smelter, which has been closed for some time owing- to a break in the water pipes, has again resumed re-sumed operations. MINING NOTES. " A strike is reported in the De La Mar Extension property. It Is said a ten-foot ten-foot ledge of milling ore averaging $12 a ton has been opened. The Conklln sampler received five cars of ore from Tintle this morning. Manager W. H. Crowther of the Bluebird mine has returned from Missouri. Mis-souri. Frank Wilson of the Lucy L. mine at Deep Creek will leave for the East soon to dispose of some of the treasury stock of that company. The ore and bullion settlements yesterday yes-terday amounted to $82,700. J. P. Turner, superintendent of the Yankee Consolidated, was in the city yesterday. . The "Wild Bill marketed a car of ore yesterday which netted the company $2495. Manager George Dern of the Consolidated Consol-idated Mercur returned from the mine yesterday. METAL QUOTATIONS. DEAL FALLS THROUGH; WILD BILL BALKS 1 The negotiations between the Majestic Majes-tic rd the Wild Bill Mining company, whereby it Is said the former was to secure W,000 shares of the latter for a sum of $126,000, were declared off this morning. The deal was all but closed yesterday. General Manager Parish ot the Majestic coming up from that property to finish up the negotiations. Taa Wild Bill people refused to part with the controlling Interest In their mine for the sum named this morning when the assay of the car received last night showed as high as 73 per . cent lead, and when word came from the nine at the same time saying the vein from which the carload was taken Is seven feet wide with 140 feet of -stoping ground. Mr. Farish stated this morning morn-ing that the deal was off, and the Wild Bill management declares that the property Is not for sale any longer, but that vigorous operations will be pushed ..t the mine and shipments continued from now on. . - TINTIC OBJ2 SHIPMENTS. : The Tlntic district sent 121 carloads f ore to the market during the week, divided among the various mines as f ol- loW8: Carloads.
