Show DELIVERY BOYS OUT Thirteen Messengers of K Western Union Strike for Higher Wages. Thirteen message delivery boys of the Western Union Telegraph company went out on a strike at noon today, refusing re-fusing to proceed with their duties until un-til they had held a" conference with the company's manager. According to the statement made by one of the strikers, the boys demand car fare and an increase of pay from one and a half cents to two cents per message for delivery. The message boys assert that they are now compelled to pay their own car fare, no matter how far the distance to be traveled may be. At 2 o'clock this afternoon the young strikers and the manager were holding a conference. |
