Show PENNELL MADE THREAT " TO MURUER BURDICK. Testimony to This Effect to Be Given, by Bartender. NEW YORK. March 28.-Alexander J. Qulnn; a bartender, who. It is said, heard Pennell threaten to kill Burdlck, stated yesterday that he had been summoned to appear on Monday at the inquest in Buffalo. Buf-falo. Qulnn, who was employed as a bartender bar-tender at the Hotel Roland when Mrs. Edwin Ed-win L. Burdlck stayed there, said yesterday: yester-day: "Pennell . visited the hotel while Mrs. Burdlck was staying there, but I am not now at liberty to make a statement of what was said. The -story, as It is told. Is not correct, however. He did not say anything about waiting until a week before be-fore the trial to kill Burdlck." "Did be say anything about killing Burdlck?" Bur-dlck?" 'That I must decline to answer row." The proprietor of the Hotel Roland today to-day said that Mrs. Burdlck stayed there three days in December. He did not believe be-lieve Pennell was there during the time. He declared that Mrs. Burdlck received no visitors while she was there. |
