Show "GERALD BURNS" NOT DESERTED; RAN AWAY Then-year-old "Gerald Burns," who told the police & harrowing tale of being be-ing left alone in a house when his parents pa-rents moved, has found his mother. Sunday Mrs. Josephine Sullivan, who makes her living by taking in washing, went to the orphans' home to see her son and little daughter and learned that the boy.was missing. She at once thought of the youngster at police station and went there, and found her son, Gerald Sullivan. The boy had been taken from the orphanage orphan-age by his mother some time ago for a little visit with her, and when she returned re-turned him he left her at the car and said he could go the rest of the way alone. Instead of doing so the boy came down town and told a pitiful story to Patrolman Sullivan, who found him. He was returned to the orphanage orphan-age Monday morning. |
