Show m KEEDSD Louis Cohn Bclieres Special Spe-cial Board Should Build Waterworks. Business men of Salt Lake City are taking a great' Interest la the City Council's plan for Increasing the water supply of the city, and the matter Is being discussed dally at the Commercial club and other places where men congregate. con-gregate. - The Telegram In seeking the opinion of the more conservative business men of the city, saw Mr. Louis Cohn and found him heartily In favor of the plan as presented to the Council. I believe that the plan for Increasing the water supply of Salt Lake Is a food one," said Mr. Cohn to The Telegram Monday morning. "I have gone over the City Council's plan and it seems to be a splendid one in every' respect. "I think ttiat the Council should make arrangements for the appointment of a permanent water committee or advisory board to take charge of the work of building this new system, and that thoroughly thor-oughly competent men should be placed in charge of it. If the city will select such men as State Engineer A. F. Do-remus Do-remus for the work they would make no mistake. The building of this great system should not be left in the hands of a Board of Public Works for that changes with the seasons, and while I have no doubt that the members of the board would do their best It would not be politic to give them control of this, as they are not experienced men In that direction." |
