MAHIACIM, CHURCH DEFIES THE POLICE GRAND RAPIDS, Mich, Dec. 11 Clad only In his underclothing, a raving ma-lUao ma-lUao from an attack of typhoid fever, James Delatto, an Italian 82 years of age, with an ax. held several policemen at bay for over two hours In the Fifth Reformed Re-formed Dutch church shortly before the morning service Sunday. Before capture he took refuge In the big pipe organ and policemen were compelled com-pelled to climb into it from overhead to cepture him. In the capture three policemen were cut with the ax and Delatto was shot through the head, but may recover.- The organ was damaged to the extent of. 11500 and other damage was caused In the church by the ax.
