Show AGGIES TO PLAY HARD Boys From Logan Wiil Give the 'Varsity Team a Battle. The students of the U. of U. are rap-Idly rap-Idly getting over their confidence with regard to the game with the Aggies scheduled for next Saturday. In place of the confidence have come a number of absurd rumors. It is mid that a new coach haa been engaged, which is probably prob-ably the case. It is also said that ail the gamea on the coast were loet to delude de-lude the 'Varsity into a sense of security. secur-ity. This Is absurd oni the face of It. Coach Campbell Is too wise a general to do any such fool trick. It is said that the football squad has been excused ex-cused from all classes and does nothing but practice. This also is absurd as the faculty of the A. C. have always been severe in their stand as to scholarship among the athletes. One thing Is certain, cer-tain, however, and that Is that the A C. team will be another body entirely than the team which went to the coast. They will come down here to win and they will play to the last ditch. College Col-lege spirit haa never been lacking In the A. C. and there will be a big bunch of rooters to help out the victory. Manager Man-ager Reiser has had orders for 600 seats for the Logan rooters. Coach Maddock is paying no attention; to the rumors except ex-cept to impress on his men the necessity of hard work between now and the game. A desperate effort to arouse enthusiasm en-thusiasm is being made at the University. Univer-sity. i The Junior class team at the University Univer-sity gets as many bumps, as a punch-' lng bag. The Freshmen administered the bumps Monday by a score of-5 to 0. The Freshmen played a much faster and enappier game than their opponents and worked several trick plays successfully, success-fully, although most of the gains were made through the line. Both sides fumbled fum-bled often, but the fumbles were nearly all lucky for the Freshmen. The Juniors started to punt toward the close of the second half, but could not get within striking distance of the Frertimen goal. The deciding game in the class series at the University will be played Tuesday Tues-day afternoon at Cummings field when the Seniors meet the Sophomores. If the Seniors win the Freshmen, Sophomores Sopho-mores and Seniors will be tied for first place with two won and one lost If the Sophomores win It will give them a clear title to the class championship and the silver trophy presented by the claps of '95.
