Show LOST FOR MANY YEARS Daughter, Stolen .When Little, Sees Father First lime in 40 Years. BANGOR. Me.. Nov. 15. Mrs. Frank Cranford of San Francisco arrived In Brewer for a visit to her father, Richard Rich-ard S. Davis of that city, from whom she was stolen thirty-nine years ago, w hen a chlldjof three years. It was the first time since then that father and daughter had met, though for fifteen years each had known where ' the other was. ; It was in 1S65 that the little gvl was taken from Bangor, where Mr. Davit then lived. At the time he was away on a voyage to South America, and the little girl was living with an aunt. Upon his return from sea Mr. Davis succeeded in ascertaining who It was j that had taken the child, but was unable un-able to locate their whereabouts. Some fifteen years ago he received a letter from the missing child. This told him how. she was brought up by the the people who had' carried her away as their own daughter, and that it was only when a relative, came to visit them and told her her history that she knew differently. This relative aided her to get in communication com-munication with her father. |
