Show Xew York's new subway has been open only a few days, but the people are kicking just as hard about it as if it had been open for years. When a New Yorker is at home he is continually objecting to something, but when he is away he sings the praises of his town continually. Some married men are that way; they reserve all their pleasant words for those they meet outside their homes. Gov.-eleet Folk of Missouri, Gov.-elect Douglas of Massachusetts and Gov.-elect Adams of Colorado might compare notes on how to conduct a State administration ad-ministration with all the other offices and the Legislature Leg-islature in the hands of the opposition. Another "last survivor'' of the famous Light Brigade Bri-gade is dead in Denver. This makes about 1103 of the 600 to answer the last bugle call in this country alone. Some few doubtless died in England besides those that perished at Balaklava. It is now Editor Morgan of the Reno Gazette, Editor Xorcross having sold out. The Gazette is an excellent paper, and The Telegram wishes it continued contin-ued success. The highly esteemed St. Louis Globe-Democrat is really and truly happy for once in its lifetime.
