Show MAY DIE BECAUSE SHE SPANKED BOY COLUMBUS, Ind., Nov., 28. Mrs. William Wells of this city is suffering from a severe case of blood poisoning in ber right hand as the result of spanking spank-ing her little son, When she turned him across her knee and spanked him her hand struck a lead pencil in his hip pocket, and the lead was broken off in Mrs. Wells hand. The wound did not give her a great deal of trouble until a few days ago, when the hand began to swell, and It la now several times larger than its natural size. It has been lanced three times. She Is sinking very rapidly, rapid-ly, and It Is feared she may not recover. Amputation will be resorted to, however. how-ever. If she becomes strong enough to stand the ordeal. |
