Show JEWELS WORTH $5000 STOLEN. FROM A GUEST NEW YORK, Nov. 2S.-Mrs. Caroline Jeannette, proprietor -of the Strathmore hotel in this city, reported to the police last night that diamonds valued , at (5000 r.d disappeared from her hotel. She said that they were the property of a guest, Mrs. V. B?ndlct. who Is said to be a daughter of the late Frederick R. Coud-ei Coud-ei t, and the wife of the son of E. C. r.tnediot. the friend of former President Cleveland. According to the story told by the police po-lice as coming from Mrs. Jeannette, Mrs. lienedict attended the opera Wednesday night and wore the diamonds, which are now missing.
