Show ADOPTS TEE CITY'S PLAN 1 Commercial Club Favors Council's Plan. for Increasing: In-creasing: Water Supply. A majority report of the special water wa-ter committee of the Commercial club has been adopted favoring the plans of the City Council for increasing the water wa-ter supply of Salt Uake City. The committee com-mittee holds that while the plans of the Council do not coincide with those of the Commercial club, the needs of the city for an increased water supply are imperative. John E. Dooly submitted a minority report. In his report he holds that the City Council is making a mistake in spending the sum asked for and not securing a clear title to the water rights. His report holds that under the proposed plan the city will have absolutely abso-lutely no rights to the water should the supply furnished the water users of Big Cottonwood falL The majority report of the committee commit-tee was adopted by the board of governors gover-nors of the Commercial club at its Saturday Sat-urday meeting, all voting In its favor with the exception of Mr. Dooly and J. W. Houston. |
