Nov. 28. One man was . killed outright and fourteen other passengers pas-sengers were injured, some of them seriously, in a Bellefontaine street car that Jumped the track and overturned today. Leaving the track, the car dashed across the street, hitting the curb and overturning over-turning and strewing the street with Injured. In-jured. When the accident occurred the car was crowded with men, women and children on their way to work. Carmen Are Arrested. Police Sergt Connors arrested Motor-man Motor-man Charles H. Smith and Conductor L. P. Morganir. Neither Is Injured. Smith told the police that the accident was caused by the failure of his airbrakes air-brakes to work while the caf was on the down grade leading to the curve.- . |
