Show NEW TORK, April 30. Prices advanced a fraction on an average on quite animated ani-mated dealings. Reading was in good demand de-mand on the earnings statement for March and was lifted . Room traders followed the lead of profit-taking; sales in trie and put out moderate selling or- . aers in the reneral list, driving- prices below, yesterday's close. The National Railroad of Mexico stocks. Brie first preferred. pre-ferred. People's Gas and Amalgamated Copper declined a point and some of the railroads a good fraction. Business was practically suspended at the reaction. The entire eeesatlon of offerings at the decline encouraged a bidding up of prices, but at about last night's level the offerings offer-ings were renewed and prices fell back to the lowest. Bonds were irregular at the noon hour. Speculation was almost lifeless and the professional element did little ' in the absence of any aggressive lead. ' Business orders appeared for some of the Gould group, causing a rise -of a point from the lowest in Missouri Pacific. No effect wa produced by this Incident and subsequent offerings of Pennsylvania, Pennsylva-nia, Southern Pacific and 8U Paul carried the market down sharply again. Most of the active stocks touched the lowest on the movement. ' . . NEW YORK METAL. . 0000(3 : NEW YORK, April 30. Bar sll- ver. 62c Copper and lead quiet, unchanged. 00000 METAL QUOTATIONS.
