Show NOT ENOUGH "OLD GLORY" Merchants Wire Orders for Flags to Greet Roosevelt's Arrival. At yesterday's meeting of the decoration decora-tion committee which is preparing for the decoration of the city in honor of President Roosevelt's visit, it was developed de-veloped that there Is. not a sufficient quantity of national colored bunting and flags in the city to properly decorate deco-rate the city. A number of stores have ordered large quantities by telegraph. At the committee meeting it was decided de-cided to divide the line of march into eight divisions and place the decoration decora-tion of each of these divisions in the hands of a . sub-committee. The original origi-nal committee was enlarged by the appointment ap-pointment of Bishop W. B. Preston, James H. Anderson and J. J. Daly. The line of march now proposed is from the Short Line depot to the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young monument, to Fifth South on South Main, to State on Fifth South, to South Temple on State, to Tabernacle Taberna-cle on South Temple street ' The committees that have been given charge of the decorations on the line of march are: Depot of West Temple street. Jacob Moritz, F. S. Fernstrom and Henry Arnold: West Temple to Eagle Gate, Bishop Preston, William C. Spence and W. J. Tuddenham; South Temple to Third South on Main, T. R. Black, W. E. Vlgus and E. J. Eardley; Third South to Fifth South on State, J. S. Daveler. E. H. Davis and F. J.Hewlett: J.-Hewlett: Fifth South to Second South on State, A. Robinson, J. J. Thomas and J. D. Dixon: Second South to .Eagle Gate on State, A. F. Barnes, J. C. Cutler and A. J. Davis; city and county coun-ty building and grounds, J. H. Anderson, Ander-son, J. Moritz and A. Robinson; Eagle Gate to residence of United States Senator Kearns on East South Temple J. N. Sharp, Jr., Henry Arnold and J. J. Daly. Three prizes aggregating $150 will be offered for the three finest decorations on the line of March. Just prior to the arrival of the President, a committee of five whose names will not be announced, an-nounced, will make the awards. |
