Show VETERAN SOLDIER AHST7ERS LAST CALL Ira C. Conk, a veteran of the Civil wat, and an old resident of the city, dljd-" denly yesterday afternoon In bis rooml in the rear of B8 Franklin avenue. Conk, who had Nn drinking -recently, wai taken 111 on Friday. He was cared for by Mr. and Mrs. HjTtim Kimball, who occupied a part of the house. . Mr. Kimball left the house at I o'clock last night and returning a half hour later found Conk dead. . The coroner was notified, no-tified, but there are no circumstances to warrant an Inquast. Conk was 69 years old and had been a Salt Laker for forty years. He was a son of the late John T. Conk who ran the old grist mill - in Liberty park and who cane here with the pioneers. Conk is survived by three . married daughters and one son. B. L. Conk, a Stockton miner.. lie was a brother of Mrs. Alfred Al-fred Best. |
