These were 'the words that Jolted those who were hauling In a cart the supposed corpse of George Singleton when he bolted bolt-ed upright and wanted to know the whys and wherefore. Singleton, who is a w6rkman at the steel works at Burnham, Ml from the bridge into shallow water close to the shfere. and was carried down stream for a distance dis-tance of 3u0 yards. Then he floated into shallow water close to the shore, where he lay with his head submerged until assistance arrived. The body was loaded Into the cart to be taken to the office of Dr. McKira, and on the way a neighbor stopped the team and asked if the man were dead. The words awakened Singleton to a sense of his position, and up he bolted. Beyond a chill. Singleton seems none the worse for his escapade. |
