Is transferred to the San Pedro. Immediately upon President Clark's- arrival here he will appoint a superintendent, superin-tendent, train dispatchers, city passenger agents and other officials. It Is be-lleved be-lleved that a local man will be made superintendent. However, President Clark will determine the matter when he reaches here in May." ; .' Senator Clark will attend the dedication ceremonies at the 'World's fair In St. Louis Thursday of -next week. Senator Kearns, W. A.. Clark. Perry 8. Heath, W. S. McCornlck. directors of the San Pedro, will also be in St. Louis at that time. As R. C. Kerens lives in St. Louis, a quorum of the directory will be there, and it is not Improbable that a conference will be held and final action taken. - The first work on the San Pedro will begin at Calientes. '. Just below that town there is a stretchy of finished grading from seventy-five to 100 miles in length. Contracts for the Iron work for this track will be let at once In order to keep the steel up with the grading. From this point the construction will be pushed to Los Angeles. , . |
