Show SAN PEDRO HARBORBEST ' I : -. Western Terminus of the Clark; Road Will Get Oriental Trade. Commodore M. Moran, owner of a large fleet of tow boats, operating out of New York, known there as the Irish navy. Is a guest at the Knutsford today. to-day. . . : i He has lately visited San Pedro harbor, har-bor, the Western terminus of the Clark road, and declares that it is one of the best ports on the Pacific coast, and for this reason will add greatly to the value of the San Pedro & Los Angeles rail- roaa. . Commodore Moran ' believes that when the road" is completed a large percentage per-centage of the transcontinental and Oriental business will be handled over it as the distance from that port to the Orient and Pacific ocean ports is much shorter, than from San Francisco or more northern ports. .. . t |
