Show SALTUKSRCUiJ.TIZL TAKE OVER SEOSI-LINE ' ON JUNEO; OFFICIAL fi)00 The Oregon Short Line system south of Salt Lake City will be for- mally turned. over to the management of the San Pedro, Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad company (Salt Lake route) Tuesday, June 30th. This was officially announced today by Senator W. A. Clark, president of the Salt Lake road, In a letter to Senator Thomas Kearns. The owners, dl- rectors and general officers of the road will meet In this city Wednesday, June 17th, and every detail of the pending transfer and the subsequent management of the road will be carefully gone over. When the meeting is concluded on June 19th, Senator Clark, It. C. Kerens, vice-president of the road. Senator Kearns, J. Ross Clark and several other directors, a sufficient number to form a quorum, will proceed to New York, where a meeting will be held June 22nd with E. .H. Harriman and other officials ofthe Short Line, and the sale of the;Short Line property to the. Salt Lake will be finally ratified and the transfer of all right and title of the Short Line to the Salt Lake formally closed. |
