The stock rosr-ket rosr-ket opened today with the bears In a panic and enormous blocks were bought on a rising scale and at a rebound In prices exceeding the opening drop of yesterday. Opening gains ran all the way from 1 to 14. Five hundred shares of Atchison sold st 654c snd the next sale was of 11.000 shares at 66 and 67. compared with 64 last night. The opening gain In St. Paul was 2 and In Union Pacific 2. United States Steel preferred and Baltimore & Ohio opened wide on the sale of SduO and 3500 shares respectively. Profits were taken immediately . on the bulge in the active stocks, and there was some pressure of left over liquidating sales. St. Paul, Atchison, Atch-ison, Norfolk & Western, Southern Pacific and Union Pacific relapsed a point. Meanwhile Mean-while other stocks were sdvanced vigorously. vigor-ously.
