Star Consolidated dropped down to 2794 cents, Utah sold at 67 cents. Century Cen-tury at 69 cents, and Martha Washington at S cents. May Day sold a block of 600 at 21 cents, and another at 22 cents. California got 13V cents for 1000 shares, and 13 cents for 600. Silver Shild dropped to 6V4 cents, while Petro j held at 10 cent. Uncle Sam closed with 22V cente bid and 24 cents asked. MINING NOTES. . The ore and bullion settlements yesterday yes-terday amounted to $45,900. The Star Con. marketed a car of ore yesterday showing as much as $50 in gold. George K. Fischer will have charge of the enlargement of the Highland Boy smelter. President Lewis of the Royal Mining company has gone east on business relative rela-tive to his new enterprise. President Bamberger of the De La Mar mine has gone to that property In Nevada to Inspect the new plant that recently went Into commission. It is said that the parties who are negotiating ne-gotiating for the purchase of the control of the Grand Central will meet In New York today to decide the fate of the proposed pro-posed deal. Manager G. H. Robinson of the Tin-tic Tin-tic Mining and Development company left for the East yesterday, after finding find-ing everything connected with the company com-pany interests here in satisfactory shape. A rumor of a cave-ln at the Daly West was set afloat yesterday afternoon, but on . investigation it was found that the trouble was in the Ontario shaft, through which the Daly West ore passes. Work was delayed only a few hours. MAJESTIC OFFICIALS ARE COMING HERE t Joseph Henshaw, secretary of the Royal, and also acting secretary of the Majestic Mining company, received information in-formation today to the effect that the officials of the latter company will arrive ar-rive here within a week. In the party will be a number of prominent Eastern shareholders, who are coming to look over the property. Next Monday Is the last day on which the Majestic shareholders can lend money mon-ey to the company on the loan of $350,000 which the directors recently voted to contract. It Is thought by local shareholders, share-holders, however, that the loan has been entirely raised, by this time. DEAL IS NOW CLOSED; DEVELOPMENTS TO FOLLOW. The parties concerned In the Wall-De Wall-De La Mar deal of Bingham have returned re-turned from an Inspection of the property prop-erty involved, and Mr. McNeill of the purchasing crowd reports that the deal is closed and that the conveyance papers are now in the hands of the attorneys. With the negotiations closed. Manager Jackling of the Utah Copper company, which was incorporated In Colorado last week for the purpose of exploiting the Wall-De La Mar claims, will begin the preliminary work towards the erection of a 500-ton mill. DALY-JUDGE MILL. After discharging the usual monthly payroll of the Daly-Judge company. Secretary Lambourne . returned from Park City last night. Mr. Lambourne says Superintendent Sherman has his full force of men employed on the Improvement Im-provement of the mill, and that within a few days the big plant will again go Into In-to commission with Its capacity almost doubled. LUCKY BILL WILL ASSESS. The Lucky Bill shareholders have elected the following officers for the coming year: President, Solon Splro; vice-president, L. E. Bamberger; treasurer, treas-urer, Simon Bamberger; secretary. J. B. Bean. The company is now in debt $8000 and the new board has announced Its Intention In-tention of paying the amount off by means of an assessment. CON. HEBXTJH'8 SLIHE PLANT. George Moore, whose slime plant Is being be-ing installed at the Con. Mercur, announces an-nounces that the mill should be ready to go into commission about July 1st. The plant will handle 800 tons of ore dally, that will average $1.60 per ton, a large percentage of which formerly went to ' waste. t Mineral Display Will Ba Fine. : ftah wilt display the finest collection of minerals of any State In the Union at the Louisiana Purchase exposition, to be held at St. Louis next year.
