Show THREE WEEKS' BRIDE COMMITS SUICIDE EVANSTON, Wyo., May 14. Mrs. Anna Fife, a young married woman, committed suicide at her home In this city about 8 o'clock last evening by shooting herself, the bullet passing through the heart. Mrs. Fife, whose maiden name was Anna An-na Peterson, was married to Fred Fife at her home in Huntsvtlle. I'tah, about three weeks ago and came to Evanston to live, as Fife is a railway fireman and runs out of this point. It is alleged that Fife was in a semi-Intoxicated semi-Intoxicated condition at the time of- the tragedy and it is thought that it Is due to this that the. young woman took her life. Before her marriage Mrs. Fife was employed em-ployed by the Pacific Hotel company here as waitress. She was a fine young woman wo-man and was highly respected by all who knew her, and her many friends are hor-Hfltwl hor-Hfltwl At her terrible nrt The hni.hant B.iys their brief married life was harmonious harmo-nious in every respect and denies any knowledge of the cause of his wife's dtath. He says he left his home about 3 o'clock in the afternoon and was with various friends about town up ta 8 o'clock this evening, when, upon returning- he made the ghastly discovery, his wife lying in a pool of blood and a .45-caliber revolver clutched tightly In her right hand. The bullet had pasned entirely through tho body. A lady living In the tenement beneath be-neath heard a gunshot at about 7:30, but thought nothing of it until ahe learned the news of the young woman's death. Mrs. Fife was about 20 years of age. The body will be taken to Huntsville for burial. |
