Show BUILD A MUSEUM. Philadelphia is preparing to found one of the finest museuins in the world. . This reminds us that when the Legislature meets it would be a thing that we think the people peo-ple of this State would indorse if it appropriated money enough to buy or to build a Utah museum, at the same time to pay the expense of keeping guard in the cliff dwellers region, to keep away the men who are now persistently thereto rob these old caves of their treasures, bearing them away and selling them to the richer cities of the East. Have that guard gather as he can these treasures and send them to the State museum, at the same time call on' the mine owners of the State to send rare specimens from their mines and make a cabinet and museum combined, to show to . the visitors to the State the rare relics and rare samples of mineral ore which the State possesses. It would not cost much to start; it would not cost much to keep it going, and within a year it would be an attraction which every visitor to the State would want to see. , |
