Attorney-General Breeden gave an important opinion this morning in relation rela-tion to county superintendents outside of cities of the first and second class. The o pip ion was at the request ..of State Superintendent A. C. Nelson and is as follows: "You submit for my official opinion the following questions, to wit: "First According to law has a Board -of Education of a county school district of the first class in this State authority at the present time to determine deter-mine what matter may be prescribed in a course of study for its schools t . 'J8eeond Has such Board of Education Edu-cation the authority to appoint, a school supervisor and to allow the supervisor discretionary power with reference to the prescribing of a course of study-for study-for the schools of ' the district f "In replying to these questipns I beg to direct your attention to chapter 107, session laws of 1905, which changes the old county pnblic school system outside of cities of the first and second class in certain material respects and creates S new system.
