English has just brought to Salt 'Lake some splendid apples from his orchards at Elgin in the Green river section" of Utah. Mr. English has raised peaches; pears and apples oa his land superior to those grown ia any other sections. He took, several prizes at the Boise Irrigation congress. - The Elgin Power aad Water company, com-pany, of which Mr. English is an nicer, ni-cer, has completed its. ditch, except the fluming, and has ordered machinery for its 'plant from Denver. It will bo ia operation by March 1. It will water 1-000 acres. The Green River Land and Water company is also- installing a plant which is expected to be completed soon. ' - - " ", '. M The marvelous development of this section is shown in the fact that land which sold a few years a0 for $1.50 an acre will now bring $250 aad $350 aa acre.
