Show L TAMP SALES GROW, SHOWING PROSPERITY XEW YOBK, Sov. 1. The report of Auditor Jar dines of the New York postoffice shows that the receipts for the month of October from the sale of stamps, etc., reaehed $1,721,960, the largest month's business in the history of the office. This is an increase of 14V per cent over the corresponding month last year. In commenting on the report Postmaster Post-master Willcox said it showed a prosperity pros-perity throughout the country that exceeded ex-ceeded anything known- in the past. |
