Only four stocks received any attention, and the trading In all of these was dull and spiritless. Had It not been for good trading trad-ing In New York, the market would have been without a feature. In spite of the fact that there was light trading, nearly all the stocks, showed a distinct fall In price, and the general trend of the market mar-ket was as weak as possible. New York was the feature of the day. and advanced to 55c, with heavy trading and a good demand. The stock was held at 55V4c at the close. Petro was steady at 9T4c, and the demand was fair. . Uncle Sam Con. showed a fall in price and was marked, up at 27o, but no great amount of stock came out at that price, although It was freely, offered for the stock at the close. It Is now assured as-sured that the same officers will be Installed In-stalled at the coming meeting, and that the management and policy of the company com-pany will be unchanged. There has been a united effort on the part of the Cincinnati stockholders to oust the present management, but it has become be-come evident from the number of proxies turned over to the directors that the control con-trol is no longer in doubt.
