Show Springville Plays Tintic In Final Hoop Game Red Devils Take Floor Against Miners At 8 P.M., Friday; Will Enter State Tourney In March Springville High School's Red Devils will ring down the curtain on league play this Friday when the locals entertain enter-tain the improved Tintic Miners on the Springville court, beginning at 8 p. m., The league- winning Sophomore team will play a preliminary to the main game against the Tintic Sophs at j 6:30. ! The Red Devils,, who were put . into the tourney through the cour- j tesy of the Tintic Miners via a 29-31 upset over Juab last Friday, Fri-day, will have their hands full in keeping the Art Hughes-coached Miners from winning again Friday. Fri-day. Springville will go to the tourney as runner-up regardless of Friday's outcome, since Juab, the third-place club, has lost five games while the Red Devils have dropped three contests. Springville Spring-ville should win the game Friday, but only after a close and hard-fought hard-fought battle. Devils Lose to Dons . . . Coach Stan Nielsen's club dropped drop-ped their Friday game to the visiting vis-iting Spanish Fork club here 32-20. Springville was unable to hit their usual ' stride partly because of the stiff defense put up ,by the Dons and were ' able to score only 8 field goals.
