Show ARMY, NAVYMEN ARE GIVEN DISCHARGES The following Springville and Mapleton men have been given discharges during the past few days, and are being welcomed back home: Ercil A. Hone, SK 3 c, whose home is at 318 Canyon Ave., was given his discharge from the navy effective February 20, at Shoemaker, Shoe-maker, Calif. Lewis C. Curtis, MoMM 3 c, 302 East Seventh South, has been rer leased from the navy effective February 17, at Bremerton, Wash. Calvert W. Ivie, B2c of 363 West Third South, is released from naval service on February 18, at Bremerton, Wash. ' Two Springville ser v i c e m e n were discharged today from the army at the Fort Douglas separation separa-tion center. They are TSgt. Merlin Mer-lin J. Mecham, son of Mr. and Mrs. James D. Mecham, of 96 E. Center St., and Sgt Louis G. Mai-ben, Mai-ben, son of Fenton M. Maibcn, of 599 South Main, Springville. I TSgt. Mecham served fourteen months overseas, and Sgt. Maiben served 31 months in the states. T5 Herbert C. Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Taylor, 431 E. 4th South, and husband of Ja,nice Clark Taylor, has been discharged from the army at the Fort Douglas Doug-las separation center. T5 Taylor, who served sixteen months overseas as a mechanic with the 691st Engineers, is authorized au-thorized to wear the China-Burma-India theater of operations ribbons with three battle stars. |
