Show FREE RAT BAIT AT FIRE HALL TUESDAY, MAR. 5 Mapleton May Get Bait At Store Same Day; All Urged To Cooperate Rats are continuing to make residents of this locality provide free board and lodging for them and their increasing numbers and, according to Clarence D. Ashton, assistant county agent, and H. V. Swenson, district agriculture inspector, in-spector, something must be done about it. On Tuesday, March 5, from 11 a. m., to 5 p. m., everyone may get free food for these rodents at the fire hall. Mapleton citizens may get the same from 1 p. m. to 5 p. m., at the Mapleton store. It will be a real meal for the rats, served in two courses, according ac-cording to the agents. They can have milk and lay mash dumplings or good old meat balls. It won't cost anyone anything and it will be the last meal the rats will have at your place. This spring feed for the rats is an important . one. It is pointed out that if we fail to get rid of the rats now,, they will romp in the fields and ditches all summer and come back to the building in the fall. For every rat killed now, will mean a good many that won't come back to you for free board and room this fall. |
