Spring- ; meyer (Venice Whiting) and two children are leaving this week to make their home in Boston, Mass., where Mr. Springmeyer will study i architectural engineering. Richard Miner left Tuesday for ' Portland, Ore., where he will enroll en-roll in' Dental College. His wife, ' the former Helen Clegg, plans to join him shortly. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Strong and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Crandall returned' re-turned' this week from a several days' business and pleasure trip to Portland, Ore., and other points of interest in the Northwest. v Mr. and Mrs. Lyman R. Noyes (Eva Anderson) opened their lovely Hollywood horne recently to a number of Utah' friends in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Brandley (Edda Anderson) who were visiting in California from Raymond, Alberta, Can. Miller (Marie' Clark) and Mrs. Ruth Groesbeck Scovill arid husband. hus-band. Miss Effie Kelsey returned on Thursday from an enjoyable visit with relatives and friends in California. Cali-fornia. " Hoyt Baxter has spent the past few days visiting friends in California. Cali-fornia. ' Clyde B. White of Green River, Wyo., was in Springville the past week visiting relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. George Crandall have been visiting at Bremerton, Wash. They made the trip by auto and were accompanied home by their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Curtis and son. Mr. Curtis has just received his release from the Navy. Miss Betty Rae Sumsion, who is attending the L. D. S. Business college in Salt Lake City, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lacelle Sumsion. Miss Maurine Gore, who is in training at the L. D. S. hospital, visited over the, week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. .A. B. Gore, and other relatives here and in Spanish Fork. Mrs. Roy Goodin (Nettie Dibble) Dib-ble) of Boise, Ida., spent the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Art Heavener: During her stay here, Mrs. Heavener enter-! enter-! tained at dinner with other cousins as guests. They were, Mrs. W. J. Taylor, Mrs. Frank Price, Heber, and Parley Pierce, Salt Lake City. The Teachers quorum of the 5th ward, under direction of Clarence Jensen of the bishopric, spent an enjoyable day Tuesday visiting places of interest in Salt Lake City. They also made an informal call on President George Albert Smith of the church, and spent a i half hour with him. The group included fifteen boys and the trip was sponsored by the ward bishopric bisho-pric and Ted Haymond, quorum advisor. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold E. Flom of Houston, Minn., have spent the past week as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marvel Flom of this city. Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Lyall pent several days of the past week in Salt Lake City, visiting friends. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Dixon and children (Ruth Mendenhall) came during the past week from Valejo, Calif., and will make their home in Springville. Captain and Mrs. Paul E. Beals (Venice Pennington) arrived in Sprinigville recently from California. Cali-fornia. They are visiting at the home of Mrs. Beals' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pennington, and following Capt. Beals' terminal leave on March 31, they plan to make their home here. The family of Mrs. Mary J. Reese were week-end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon L. Reese. Those visiting here were Mrs. LaVina R. Hunter of Los Angeles, Calif., Victor A. Reese and daughter Vilate and Mrs. Lulu Parker of Bloomington, Ida., and Mr. and Mrs. Merrill J. Reese and family of Heber City. Mr. and Mrs. Marvel Flom (Ida Packard) and son are leaving Springville to make their home in Price, where Mr. Flom will be associated in business with his brother, Arnold Flom. w w Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Ostler, who have resided at Rains, Utah, for the past three years, write that they greatly appreciate the Herald. Her-ald. They state that so many people have moved to Springville since their leaving, that they feel they will have to get acquaintd over again. , Fred Childs came from Hawthorne, Haw-thorne, Calif., to spend the weekend week-end with his wife, the former Ruth Robertson, who is taking training train-ing at the L. D. S. hospital. He also visited his mother, Mrs. Belle Childs. ... Mr. and Mrs. Burns Watts (Lou-; ise Childs) and baby daughter, Judy, of Hill Field, spent the week- end here with her mother, Mrs. !
