Show BOARD NAMED TO ' MAKE PLANS FOR RECREATION At a recent meeting: called by the Chamber of Commerce, with Paul Haymond in charge, a governing- board composed of representatives repre-sentatives from the schools, city and civic groups, was named to outline plans for a teen-age canteen can-teen and other forms of recreation recrea-tion for young people after the close of school. The board is to meet each Wednesday Wed-nesday evening until definite plans for the project are outlined and in operation, with the first meeting meet-ing held last evening. Merle Sargent was selected to represent the Kiwanis club; C. E. Eggertsen, the city; Dave Friel, the Chamber of Commerce, Wil-ford Wil-ford Manwaring, the. Lions club; Lee Miner, Jaycees; Mrs. W. B. Gogarty, the P. T. A.; W. W. Brockbank, schools; Lester E. Davis, the American Legion. There will also be added a member mem-ber from each of the various women's wo-men's organizations, ' and plans formulated by the group will be announced later. I |
