Show Personal News Notes Cpl. and Mrs. M. W. Russell are spending this week in Salt Lake City. Mrs. RaNae Stone has gone to Kodoka, S. D., to visit her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Mason and family. Mrs. Kenneth Dennison and daughter of Sloan, Nev., are visiting visit-ing her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Stein. Mrs. Ernest Oakley and daughter daugh-ter Lucille have returned from a business trip to Colorado and also as far east as Dodge City, Kan. Mrs. Roger Nielson (Ruth Baxter) Bax-ter) returned recently from California Cali-fornia where she visited her husband hus-band before he left for overseas duty. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Mendenhall left recently to make their home for the summer at Tooele, where he is employed at contract construction con-struction work. Mrs. Robert J. Conrad (Aileen Condie) and baby left recently to join Lt. Condad, who is training for overseas duty at Panama City, Florida. Cpl. and Mrs. M. W. Russell (Betty Lee) and son David, ac- have been residing at San Diego, Calif. Lt. Ben Bartholomew was the dinner guest Wednesday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Beardall. He has been at a hospital in Colorado, Colo-rado, being treated for wounds received re-ceived in the European theater. He had previously been in a hospital hos-pital in England. Clarence L. Jensen was elected secretary of the Salt Lake branch of Railway Mail Carriers, a national na-tional organization of postal' clerks, at a meeting Monday evening eve-ning in Salt Lake City. He was also elected a delegate to the 8th Division bi-ennial convention of the organization to be held in Los Angeles Calif., in July. companied by Mrs. Harry Lee and Mrs. James Stevenson visited Sunday in Ogden, with Mr. and Mrs. D. T. Thomas and family. Mr. and Mrs. Don Stevens and family of Layton, and Mrs. Wm. Gunn and family of Salt Lake City visited with Mr. and Mrs. George Weight and other relatives here Sunday. Lt. Richard Wightman is now at Kearns, training for overseas duty. Mrs. Wightman is staying in Salt Lake City and expects soon to return with her son to their home in California. Russell Thorpe of Long Beach, Calif., is spending a week's vacation vaca-tion with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Thorpe. He accompanied accompa-nied his brother Shirley from California. Cali-fornia. Pvt. and Mrs. Boyd Williams (Norma Jean Lee) recently came from Camp Roberts, Calif., and are visiting relatives and friends here and in Vernal. He is to report re-port at Camp Mead, Md., on May 14th. Mrs. Henrietta Harmer has returned re-turned to her home here after a delightful visit with relatives and friends in Long Beach, Los Angeles, Ange-les, and other cities in California. She made the trip by plane. Mrs. John Swenson and baby visited in Springville the past week with Mr. Swenson. They have been residing in Phoenix, Ariz., and are now in Salt Lake City. Mrs. James Stevenson and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Carter of Provo entertained at family dinners the past week complimenting Cpl. and Mrs. M. W. Russell and Pvt. and Mrs. Boyd Williams. Lt. and Mrs. Wendell Twelves (LaRhea Nielson) spent a few days of the past week with her father, J. C. Nielson and with other oth-er relatives in Spanish Fork. They |
